Meet our Founder
Marléne Marais graduated with a BA (Honours) in Industrial and Clinical Psychology from University of South Africa. She worked as Consultant for the largest part of her career, where she gained particular experience in Management Consulting; Business Process Re-engineering; Organisational- and Leadership Development. She has managed projects across the spectrum of the employee and talent lifecycle.
During her Consulting career, Marléne worked her way up through the ranks, and finally held the Operations Director role for Talent Institute South Africa, where she wore a dual hat as Principal Consultant and Coordinator of the South African Operations and International Projects.
She then decided to take deep dive in the corporate world and worked with Mondi South Africa, where she held various portfolios. These included Talent Specialist, and Learning & Development Manager for Leadership and Critical Skills.
As internal consultant, she was initially responsible for the talent life cycle (recruitment, onboarding, succession and pipeline management, exit interviews) and later also for culture initiatives such as employee surveys, engagement projects, coaching & mentoring; and leadership development.
Marlene is registered with COMENSA and is a Certified Coach and NLP Practitioner. She is also a certified Genos Emotional Intelligence Practitioner. This enables her to partner with individuals and organisations to develop and apply emotional intelligence at work so people can better connect, communicate and collaborate.
She is passionate about our people, our beautiful country and our planet and believes we are all capable of making a positive difference.
